10 DIY Antibacterial Mouthwash Recipes

Did you run out of mouthwash?    And it’s too late to go to the store or you just don’t feel like it?  Or maybe you’re committed to reduce you and your family from household chemicals, so you’re finding less harsh substitutes.  Or like me, you can’t stand the burning sensation from most store bought mouthwashes?  Well whatever the reason is, don’t worry I got you covered!

I always think to myself, how did our ancestors survive, or what about animals with teeth!?
I am sorry, but way way long ago, did they have dentist, toothpaste, mouthwash, and all these other things?  No.  They had to have eaten well and did other things to help their teeth.  I think about my dog and how she is 4 years old with pearly whites, but I don’t brush her teeth!  And that’s because part of our teeth health is what we put in our mouths.
When I got a few cavities, I knew there had to be more then just brushing, flossing, and using mouthwash.  I had a dentist appointment June of 2017, in which I was told I had a cavity and I need to get it fixed asap.  I opted out of getting this done asap mainly because I was being cheap and used up all of my dental insurance from a crown.  I was also fed up that I had another cavity and totally embarrassed.  Seriously, my handsome hygienist had to be thinking I was lying about my dental routine, he had to think no way does she brush, floss, or use mouth wash at this point.  Since, I know I have the dental perfect routine, something else had to have been going on, so I did some research.  After reading this book, I reduced my intake of Phytic acidic foods and processed foods.  And guess what?  By January 2018, to my hygienist surprise, I no longer needed to get that cavity filled!
Besides, making your own mouthwash at home is cheaper and healthier!  None of these recipes will burn your mouth either!
